Text of bailout bill

Here is the text of the bailout bill. There’s much wrong with it not the least of which is the fact that it’s even being seriously entertained. Or that it’s >100 pages of crap. Congress is to vote tomorrow and the Senate on Wednesday but the timing makes me wonder if the whole debate wasn’t just theater. I mean Wednesday is the first and all.

Updated to add this great video from the Wall Street protest. They are chanting, “You broke it, you bought it, this bailout is bullshit!”

Update: Bailout fails in the House of Representatives! The vote was 228-205 to reject it.
