Happy Turkey Day!

It’s Thanksgiving week and I’ve been extremely busy cleaning, shopping, pulling the turkey fryer out of the garage, and other general stuff that you do before family comes home for the holiday. Ash and Richard are coming home with the baby and, naturally, I’m giddy with excitement. My grandson is crawling, standing and has his first tooth. (I just reminded myself that I need to baby proof the house too.)

I managed to get nearly everything but the cooking done and it’s a good thing. I pre-bought Rock Band and will be picking it up today. The doc is post call and able to sign out his pager at 7 a.m. so I suspect that we’ll spend most of the day playing the new game. (We are junkies; think South Park and Heroin Hero.) We’ll have two full days of playing by the time our son-in-law arrives but I’m sure he’ll still kick our asses. Good family fun these games are but I think that I’m developing a bit of joint pain in my left hand from too much Guitar Hero.

Because I anticipate that I’ll be in the middle of a gaming binge, I thought I’d post a Ron Paul video and provide a link to the free market message of Thanksgiving. Enjoy and if you don’t hear from me in the next several days, be a friend and give me a call to make sure that I managed to get off the X-Box long enough to get the turkey fried.

Happy almost Turkey Day!

  2. Happy Thanksgiving to you Eric, my sweet Republican Party friend. You’re one of the three of those in my life. In fact, I want to give thanks right now to FSM that I got to know more of you than your blog.

Kisses to you Babe! I hope somebody loves you enough to fry a turkey for you. ;o) If not, DFW is a short flight from anywhere.

  3. Whee! I finally figured out how to use this thing.

A very happy holiday to you!

Frying a turkey though? I can’t comprehend why.

  4. Fried turkey is a Louisiana thing. It cuts preparation time down to minutes and it is the best thing you’ll ever taste. It’s not the healthiest, but this is the only time of year you’ll catch me frying anything.

  5. Fried turkey is yummy, I admit!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Miche. Long time no talk!
