What I was getting at is that since Paul is seeking the Republican nomination he needs to have supporters qualify to run to become delegates to the GOP nominating convention. So far in Alabama no one has filed with the Republican party to become a delegate committed to Paul and 17 have filed to become Thompson delegates. Here anyone can run to be a delegate but they have to pay a filing fee to the party and complete a form saying that you are a Republican although we don’t register as members of any party. To see what is required here you can go to http://algop.org/ and look for “2008 Delegate Qualifying Information,” on the right side and then click on the FAQ link below that. We just lost a ton of dough in Vegas last weekend and I joked with hubby about dollars and brass poles, but he was having none of it. LOL Anyway, GO RON PAUL!! I can't vote for him in the primary as I'm a county officer and couldn't hold LP convention (it's illegal to affiliate with two parties) and the LP is very important to me.
