I've got a friend in Louisville whose day may be coming as well. She and some friends are thinking about going to the mattresses over an eminent domain issue.

Got a note from her Monday....

A human chain with shotguns. Yes. It sends a loud message, like DON’T TREAD ON ME.

Damn the consequences. It’s worked before. Wish us luck.

They didn't hesitate to brutally murder hundreds in Waco... I am not so sure they wouldn't murder whoever gets in their way here either.

At the heart of the issue is due process. It doesn't matter whether or not Ed and Elaine had the right argument. It matters that they were unable to present it to a jury of their peers.

Brad Spangler covers it quite well in http://www.bradspangler.com/blog/archives/676
(which, incidentally, explains quite well both what is right and what is wrong in the Browns' approach).

I call on Ron Paul to personally attempt to negotiate the surrender of Ed Brown. Paul’s status as a US Congressman would make it more difficult for the federal goons to deny his request to make the attempt. Paul’s respect among right-constitutionalists both makes it more likely that Brown would accept and, more importantly, would act to reduce tensions generally.

Ron Paul could probably help his campaign in NH with the coverage that could result if he helps resolve this peacefully.
