I’ll be out of pocket, cuz I’m goin’ home
Hubby and I bought the older “Little Bit” and her hubby a new car and I’m driving it home to NOLA for them. I’ll see my grandson, eat real food, listen to real music, and hang with the people who made me so nutty.
I love going home, and wanted to share a taste with you. Like any good hostess, and especially a southern one, I’ll keep the bad dishes- like all those FEMA trailers still on front lawns- off the table.
Laissez les bon temps roulez rouler!

I call liar!
I think you bought them the car just for an excuse to visit.
Watch out NOLA here comes Lady Liberty.
That’s so kind of you, I bet they are grateful
Enjoy the great city that is Nola. I really like Restaurant August and Bayouna.
Love ya and miss ya chica!
So I’m thinking…Wait, Antone’s is in Austin. Then it comes to me food, not blues.
Yes, there is something about southern women. Longer ago than I care to think about there was a girl named Dahlia (how’s that for a southern name?) from Jefferson Parish.
I had a roommate from NOLA once. I swear to gawd it was like living with someone from a foreign country. We communicated with sign language for about two weeks and then, little by little, I began to learn his language.
Thought about him a lot in the aftermath of Katrina.
I grew up in St. Charles Parish which is right next door to Jefferson. After going home, I sound like I’m speaking a foriegn language.
Chaunt tranq?
