Soldier gets 100 years for rape and murder
From Yahoo News:
FORT CAMPBELL, United States (AFP) – A US soldier was sentenced Thursday to 100 years in prison for his role in the rape and murder of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl and the slaying of her family.
Sergeant Paul Cortez, 24, said he was among five soldiers who plotted the March 2006 rape and murders in Mahmudiyah, south of Baghdad, while they were drinking gin and whiskey and playing cards at a traffic checkpoint.
Well, what can I say? The punishment fits the crime. Actually, every soldier involved should be held down and anally raped before they serve their sentences. Do you think I am being a bit harsh? Hardly. Here’s what happened:
The case shocked many with accounts that the soldiers calmly plotted to rape a young girl they had seen walking down the street in the Iraqi village and deliberately tried cover up their crime by killing her family and setting the family’s house on fire.
They decided Abeer Kassem Hamza al-Janabi would make a good target for the plan to “have sex with an Iraqi female,” because her father was the only man in the house, Cortez told a military court.
In a statement frequently interrupted by tears, Cortez described how a fellow soldier pinned the girl to the ground and held her down while he raped her.
“She kept screaming and tried to keep her legs closed,” he told the court. “At no point did I think that I had consent to have sex with Abeer.”
When he was finished with her, Cortez held Janabi down as specialist James Barker raped her.
I cried last year when I heard about the crime, and now reading the details and judgement, I am close to tears again. A 14 year old girl was gang raped by U.S. soldiers who were there to “liberate” her. Can you even imagine her last moments? Rape is the most violent thing that a person can experience. It is degradation in its worst form. They liberated her from her virginity and her life. I am almost thankful the poor child was murdered; at least she doesn’t have to relive the experience.
Some of the involved soldiers will escape the death penalty in exchange for their cooperation with the prosecutions of other soldiers. Unfortunately, under the plea bargain terms, Cortez will be eligible for parole in 10 years. If ever there was a situation to deny parole eligibility, this is it. 100 years only carries weight when it will be served.

eligible for parole in 10 years?
The title is a bit misleading.
As it is in every mainstream news article in this country. I am just glad that some people will actually read the articles to their ends.
Don’t you support the troops?
91 was an inside job pulled off with the help of Marvin Bush of the criminal Bush dynasty. Iraq is a war for remaining oil supplies and defence/industry contracts in an era of peak oil & gas and a runaway trillion dollar debt imposed on us by wanker bankers like the Rothschild dynasty. Bush, Rothschild, Warburg, Rockafella, et al. All stains on mankind.
Sod America. 270 million strong but enslaved by a handfull of rotten stinking family and child fucking men. You reap what you apathetically allow America.
Your givernment did 911 and some of your soldiers are raping little brown girls. Well done you.
If you’re not with the soldiers when they rape and murder kids, you’re with the terrorists.
So many lives are ruined.
Here’s what I firmly believe.
1. That the Military attracts lunatics and in times like these doesn’t turn them away
2. That the Military takes perfectly fine young men and women and turns them into deranged sadists with no moral compass.
Either way it’s tragic.
