Aussie responses to Cheney’s upcoming visit

I was just in Sydney where I was able to visit fellow libertarian and frequent commenter GregInOz. Our better halves and we spent time discussing American and Australian politics and I learned a lot about Australia and her Prime Minister, John Howard. It didn’t take the four bottles of NZ whites to agree that both countries have poor leaders, but we had them anyway. Thankfully I didn’t get too drunk; I might have forgotten his recount of Mr. Howard’s “core and non-core promises” comment.

I bring it up because Mr. Cheney is making a rare visit to Australia to meet with Mr. Howard and GregInOz provided a link with Aussie comments. There are protests planned for the event and based on the comments, I am betting they will be well attended. The Sydney Morning Herald posed this question:

What should Mr Howard tell Vice-President Dick Cheney during the American’s brief visit?

What should Howard say to Cheney? Maybe something along the lines. Look Dick, what we have here, is a failure to communicate! I distinctly told George over the phone, that, by all means bring your golf clubs, but the hunting rifle is a no can do.

What he should say first is repay all of the money that Halliburton has stolen from the Iraqi people; second return the 20 billion is cash that the american government stole from the treasury and third that it is time to leave and leave it to them. It couldn’t go any worse than it is.

What he will say is, “Is that one or two lumps in the coffee”.

Can George come up with some sort of teeorist threat to Australia so as to help me get re-elected again? It worked last time.

Australia, please lock him up and keep him there forever. We don’t want him back. He and his puppy, bush, have done enough damage to America and the world. And I absolutely believe they were involved in 9/11.

This, my friends, is our position in the world. Thank Bush and Co. At least we still have the Internet. With it, we can meet new friends and let the world know that we are not all warmongering asshats bent on controlling the world. And I can meet friends like GregInOz for hours of great conversation and bottles of good wine.
